| the last final of my UW undergrad career is tomorrow. then it'll all be over! no more waking up at 630am to catch the bus! my reward for having a good quarter will be a short getaway to LA for a few days. i'm really looking forward to 70 degree weather and nice beaches. yes! i'm slacking off just a little though, websurfing when i should be studying. weird dream i had a couple of nights ago: i got married. well, it only got to the part right before the ceremony, and i was getting married to my friend which was really crazy. crazy b/c my friend, the groom, looked like himself fastfowarded like 10 years. it was a little creepy. i forget a lot of my dreams but this one stuck with me. haha, odd. | | |
| i've traveled alone before, but going to a foreign country makes all the difference. i'm in osaka right now, trying to kill time until my next flight to fukuoka at their internet station. as soon as i arrived in japan i went through immigration, then to customs when this dog started sniffing me. i was hoping to get through without problems, but i heard the dog walker and my bag checker whispering to each other and soon i was led to a white room with flourescent lighting to get searched. first me. i got thorougly patted down and after i passed the test, the bag checker proceeded to my bags. she was very sweet and polite, but she dug everything out of my suitcases/purse/laptop case/violin after pointing at pictures of guns and marijuana asking me, no? no? i assured her no, there aren't any drugs or weapons in there, but she went ahead anyway. it was kind of amusing since she was searching so thoroughly when i knew there was nothing to be found. this guy even came to search with her. it wasn't so bad. i had 3 hours to kill until my next flight anyway. i still have 2 hours until then, but sadly my battery's running out and my converter is checked in =/ | | |
| i'll be celebrating my 23rd bday tomorrow. come out if you can :) i'll be away in japan for 3 months and won't be able to see you until the end of the year. Dinner will be @ BITES by Qwest/Safeco field at 8pm. address: 1028 1st Avenue South We'll go clubbing @ sugars afterwards. i can put the guys on the list to get in free before 11pm. just let me know if you can come out. hope to see you all there~ | | |
